About the Role

As a Medium Rigid Truck Driver at our Yandina StarTrack facility, you’ll be the face of Australia Post, delivering freight to customers and connecting communities. This permanent part-time position offers 3-4 days per week (Monday to Friday), with daily overtime paid at time-and-a-half. You’ll drive our iconic blue trucks, ensuring timely deliveries while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely load and unload freight of various shapes, sizes, and weights with your team.
  • Perform daily vehicle safety checks to ensure your truck is road-ready.
  • Drive between customer locations for deliveries and pick-ups, maintaining a high level of service.
  • Return to the operational center to unload pick-ups at the end of your shift.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic driver who loves being on the road and engaging with the community. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Licensing: A valid Medium Rigid (unrestricted) or higher license.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to frequently load and unload freight, meeting our safe working load limit of 130kg or less.
  • Safety Focus: A strong understanding of chain of responsibility and a commitment to safe practices.
  • Customer Service: A customer-centric mindset with effective communication skills.
  • Team Spirit: A friendly personality who enjoys autonomy and teamwork equally.
  • Pre-Employment Checks: Willingness to provide a driving history report, complete a driving assessment, and undergo a pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening, and national criminal history check.
