About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our Innovative Medicines Business Unit in Taipei, Taiwan.

This role is ideal for professionals passionate about the pharmaceutical industry and committed to driving impactful relationships with healthcare providers (HCPs) while ensuring compliance and ethical excellence.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting Novartis products, expanding market share, building long-term partnerships with medical professionals, and supporting better healthcare outcomes for patients.


Key Responsibilities

1. Drive Competitive Sales Growth

  • Identify and prioritize high-potential healthcare professionals (HCPs) and stakeholders through data analysis.

  • Execute sales strategies that enhance market share and product visibility.

  • Achieve sales targets and listing objectives across assigned territories (e.g., Yilan District).

  • Monitor and report performance against goals, adjusting tactics as necessary.

2. Build and Nurture Customer Relationships

  • Conduct value-based conversations to understand customer needs, pain points, and opportunities.

  • Develop personalized engagement journeys using multiple communication channels (face-to-face, virtual, digital).

  • Build strong, sustainable partnerships with HCPs and medical influencers at the local and regional levels.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions beyond traditional sales approaches.

3. Develop Deep Market and Customer Insights

  • Gather, analyze, and share market intelligence and customer feedback.

  • Identify business opportunities and adjust sales plans dynamically.

  • Communicate insights to internal stakeholders to shape strategies, campaigns, and content.

4. Ensure Compliance and Ethical Conduct

  • Uphold the Novartis Code of Ethics, demonstrating honesty, transparency, and integrity.

  • Ensure all interactions are fully compliant with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.

  • Address ethical dilemmas proactively and promote a culture of accountability.


Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience with regional hospitals and medical centers (required).

  • Prior involvement in product launches or promotional campaigns preferred.

  • Knowledge of hospital listing processes and self-pay product strategies advantageous.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong account management and negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.

  • Familiar with digital sales tools and CRM systems.

  • Solid understanding of the Taiwan pharmaceutical market and key stakeholders.

  • High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.

Languages:

  • Mandarin: Fluent

  • English: Basic proficiency
