University health network(UHN) is seeking for security and life safety professionals to join their team at Toronto general hospital in New Zealand. The ideal candidate will manage all security and life safety functions across all university health network. The university health network is committed provide high quality care for all patients. Candidate have ability to overseeing the administration, planning, design , strategy and budget of these functions. The successful candidate will lead the team toward a trauma- informed approach to security operation and acts as liaison between internal and external stakeholders including the Toronto police service. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range is $200,261 per year, and the opportunity to spearhead the organization’s efforts toward fostering a safety culture.

Qualifications for security and life safety:

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, law and security.
  • It must have minimum 10 years experience in operations the field of security, safety and emergency support.
  • Experience in healthcare and public sectors in the field of security, safety and emergency support.
  • Ability to implement changes and effectively work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capability to develop and enhance working relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Possession of the certified healthcare protection administrator (CHPA).

Responsibilities for security and life safety:

  • Candidate is responsible for providing direct leadership in the management of security and life safety.
  • Ability to make effective plans and implementing and monitor of short and long range goals in support of the strategic plans.
  • Ensure localized customer service and front-line customer engagement in life safety.
  • Preparing appropriate business plans documents about security and life safety.
  • It must have ability to facilitating collaboration and coalitions among diverse group and provide suggestions to improve service.
