Kagome Australia is a leading agribusiness with farms located across regional Victoria and New South Wales.An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Experienced Heavy Diesel, Hydraulic, Agricultural or Auto-Elec Mechanics to join the team. Reporting to the Harvest Operations Manager and based predominantly in the Echuca area, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient mechanical service involving the diagnosis, repair, servicing, and maintenance of Kagome’s fleet of harvesters, tractors, forklifts, light vehicles and irrigation pumps.
Ultimately, we are looking for anyone with a Mechanical Background, whether it be Heavy Diesel, Agricultural or other Engineering that believes they have a skillset worthy of bringing to the team.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

Maintain, Diagnose and Repair Kagome’s inventory of Agricultural plant, machinery and equipment.
General Mechanical Fitting
Heavy Diesel Systems
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
Auto-Electrical Repair
Automotive Aircon Repair
Mig/Stick Welding & Oxy Cutting
During Harvest – Available for extended work hours (with OT) on a rotating roster.
During Harvest – Provide a Mobile Mechanical Diagnosis & Repair function to support forward based Harvest Technicians.
Mentor & Train junior members of the Harvest Operations Team.

Trade Qualified (Certificate III Minimum)
Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31116)
Agricultural Mechanical Technology (AUR30420)
Fixed and Mobile Plant Mechanic (MEM31419)
Mobile Plant Technology (AUR31220)
Automotive Diesel Engine Technology (AUR31520)
Automotive Diesel Fuel Technology (AUR31420)
Automotive Electrical Technology (AUR30320)
Engineering with Hydraulic (Fluid Power) Modules.
Other Trade Qualifications will be considered where relevant and accompanied by applicable experience.
High Risk Work License (HRWL) – Forklift (LF)
Open Class Drivers License.

Experience/Knowledge:

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience working in a Mechanical Role with Agricultural, Earthmoving or Mining Machinery.
