Otago community hospice is on the lookout for an exceptional nurse to step into the role of urban team coordinator for our specialist palliative care team in Dunedin, New Zealand. At Otago community hospice, ideal candidate have ability to provide the highest quality care to the patient within the hospital. Our urban team coordinator plays a vital role in leading a diverse and multidisciplinary team. Candidate are committed to continuous improvement and drive excellence across all facets of service delivery, education and professional development. It must have ability to support a team towards a common goal of providing exemplary palliative care. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range $130,278 – $130,278 per year. For this position, candidate must have minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in palliative care, it must have prior leadership experience being highly desirable with in the clinical health department.

Qualification for Urban Team Coordinator:

  • Candidate must have minimum of five years post- graduate experience in palliative care.
  • It must have prior experience in such areas as Acute medical, oncology, palliative care.
  • Hold or willing to pursue a Master’s Degree in health sciences within 12 months of appointment.
  • Ability to work towards an except portfolio(PDRP), as per the New Zealand nursing council’s framework.
  • Recognised by colleagues as an expert clinician, as a role model and mentor.
  • Confident in public speaking and education delivery.
  • Moderate to expert level of IT skills include Ms Word and Ms Excel.
