Te Whatu Ora are seeking for ward clerk to join their team within the child health service at Whangarei hospital, New Zealand. The Whangarei hospital will provide efficient support, handling data entry tasks and managing reception responsibilities for both the neonatal and paediatric units. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these units by offering essential clerical support. Candidate have ability to work effectively with the nursing team and other internal departments. It must have ability to operating 7 days a week with rostered shifts within the hospital. This position offers a competitive salary range $ 40,000 to $ 55,000 per year. This full-time position requires candidate to have previous administrative and organisational experience.
Responsibilities for Ward Clerk:
- Candidate is responsible for providing efficient clerical support to the neonatal and paediatric units.
- Ability to handing data entry tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborating effectively with the nursing team and other internal departments to coordinate patient care.
- Adhering the hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulation.

Qualifications for Ward Clerk:
- Candidate must have previous administrative and organizational experience.
- Previous experience working within a health service department.
- It must have excellent computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or within the team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at same time.
