Social Worker / Counsellor Job In New Zealand

Queenstown community hospice is seeking for social worker/ counsellor to join their team in Aotearoa, New Zealand. The ideal candidate have ability to connect with diverse individuals within the hospital. Queenstown community are dedicated to enhancing our services by expanding support through the creation of support groups to reflecting our commitment to comprehensive care. Candidate have capability to collaborate closely with families and guiding them through available resources and offering support throughout the care journey. For this position, candidate have at least 5years experience in healthcare community. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range is $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

Qualifications for Social Worker/ Counsellor:

• Candidate must have bachelor’s degree in social work, counselling and psychology.
• It must have certificate as a social work/ counsellor.
• Experience in providing counselling or social work service through internships and previous employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with clients, colleagues.
• Ability to assess clients needs, identify challenges and develop effective intervention plans.

Responsibilities for Social worker / Counsellor:

• Candidate is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clients needs.
• Providing counselling and therapy to individual families and mental health concerns.
• Ability to coordinate service and resources to meet clients needs and follow-up support.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team including healthcare providers and to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
