Kiewit
The Contracts Manager provides negotiation, training, and high-risk/legal-related support for project procurement and administration activities for Kiewit Corp. In this role, you will interface with the Project Supply Chain Managers, Supply Chain Specialist, Project Managers, Legal Counsel, Supply Chain Directors, and Sponsors for escalated issues.

LOCATION
This role is based in Laval.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support supply chain with identification of mandatory and recommended prime contract flow-down clauses for incorporation.
- Contract for highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings.
- Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service and determine corrective action.
- Leverage vendors/subcontractors across multiple procurements to create cost savings to projects.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history.
- Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
- Prepare/issue Request for Proposals (RFP’s) and evaluate vendor/subcontractor proposals to identify vendors/subcontractors who meet project constraints of budget and schedule at the estimating, execution and site purchasing levels.
- Assist in the development of company-wide procurement templates.
- Lead in negotiating high-risk contracts for various projects.
- Work to resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and manage supplier-specific vendor template negotiations.
• Support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Initially, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management.
- Additionally, at least 3 years of negotiation experience is preferred.
- Moreover, experience and understanding of Contracts are vital.
- Also, a thorough understanding of all procurement areas, including execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality, and site purchasing, is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) is necessary.
- Furthermore, general knowledge of database utilization is beneficial.
- SAP experience is an added advantage.
- There’s a demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are key.
- Finally, functional knowledge of English, both written and verbal
