Motivate
Motivate, a leader in micromobility and bikeshare operations, is seeking part-time seasonal Drivers to support New York’s bikeshare system during the evening shift. In this role, you’ll operate company vehicles to transport bicycles and replace batteries, ensuring the system runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a company vehicle to switch out depleted batteries across the bikeshare network, returning them to the depot for recharging along an assigned route.
- Transport bicycles between bike stations to maintain network balance.
- Load and unload bicycles, batteries, and materials from vehicles.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, report issues to management, and keep vehicles clean as needed.
- Follow safe driving and workplace practices while adhering to all company policies.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch and management throughout your shift.
About You
We’re looking for dependable, safety-focused individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy driving in a busy urban environment.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Comfortable using a smartphone and apps for navigation and communication.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods).
- Dependable, with a strong work ethic and ability to follow an assigned schedule.
- Open to feedback, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions to improve performance.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor urban setting.
